SHORTEST FILM FESTIVAL 2019
I think it’s the funniest thing that the longest person has won at the Shortest Film Festival by Landjäger Magazin,
where each film has to be exactly 12 seconds long.
My film “KONICHIWA” took home 1st place (jury-voting) and 2nd place (audience-voting).
“Movies of few seconds are often small jokes. This one is one you have never seen before. And the emphasis is on: seen. Because his idea is based on seeing, on a thoroughly visual concept, that carries it out cleverly and then ends in an intelligent twist. The film doesn't need words, which is always a good sign, because that's what cinema at its best can do: to tell a story in pictures and to entertain us wordlessly. Congratulations to the – in two senses – ‘great’ Robert Wagenlechner for ‘Konichiwa’.”
